Windscribe WAP Fest Invites Emiratis To Win From A $42,000 Animation Prize Pool With Human And AI Categories

The competition is split into two parallel tracks. The human-made animation contest carries a $25,000 prize pool and strictly prohibits the use of any generative AI tools — every element must be created by hand. The AI animation contest holds a $17,000 prize pool and places no restrictions on tools used, welcoming fully AI-generated submissions. Both tracks share the same judging categories: Best Overall, Funniest, Best Character, Favorite Style, Best Vibes, Best Sound, and Best Story — with 10 Honourable Mentions awarded in each track as well. The Best Overall human winner takes home $10,000 plus a Lifetime Windscribe Pro subscription, while the Best Overall AI winner receives $7,500 plus a Lifetime Pro subscription.



To enter, participants must download the Windscribe app, select any two server location nicknames from the app's location list, and create a 30–60 second animation using those nicknames as the creative premise. Animations must be submitted in MP4 format at a minimum of 12 FPS and 1080p resolution. Human contest entrants are also required to submit a Proof of Work file demonstrating their creation process. All entries are submitted via the official WAP Fest Dropbox links on the contest page before the March 26th deadline at 11:59 PM EST.
